BEAUTIFICATION MINISTRY - Leader Sister Irene Graham
The Beautification Ministry will ensure that the interior of the church
displays the inviting beauty of each season. The Beautification Ministry will
ensure the House of God is beautifully decorated with flowers, bows, greenery
and other decorum as the seasons dictate.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY - Leader Sister Wanda Williams
The Children's Ministry is designed for children 3-12 years old to experience
wholesome fellowship, Bible training, and knowledge about the Savior, all while
being loved, nurtured and having fun. The children of this ministry will take
part in field trips, learn Bible verses and Bible songs, and learn to live the
Bible in a practical way in such topics as sharing, loving, and respecting self
and others.
CHURCH SIGN MINISTRY - Leader Deacon M.C. Williams
Our Church Sign Ministry serves to inform and inspire our congregation
and a Community. We seek to inform the community of relevant ministry opportunities
available at our church by providing the name of the event, the date and time
as well as the featured speaker's name on the church sign. We also seek to inspire
passerbys and the parishioners as we place uplifting, thought provoking mini-messages
on the church sign weekly.
CULINARY MINISTRY - Leader Rebecca Hood
The Culinary Ministry serves to make each and every fellowship event
a time of comfort and warmth by providing delicious meals for all to enjoy.
The Culinary Ministry provides meals, dinner, and snacks for various church
related events. This ministry also strives to provide excellent service to all
that partake during our Christian Fellowship times.
EVANGELISM MINISTRY - Leader Reverend Tyshawn Gardner
The purpose of the Evangelism Ministry is to reach the lost to the end
that they will be brought into the Body of Christ by the Grace of Jesus Christ
and the aiding power of the Holy Spirit. Members of this ministry will employ
many and unique means and methods to reach the lost of all ages and socio-economic
status. Some of these methods include door-to-door evangelism, intentional one-on-one
evangelism, evangelism events at the church, letter mailings, and other creative
and proven methods to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
MARRIAGE MINISTRY - Leaders Deacon Ronnie Crowell and Sister deMeriam
Crowell
The Marriage Ministry will seek to keep the flames of matrimony burning
through fellowship, education, and recreation. The Marriage Ministry will provide
opportunities to couples to fellowship with each other through picnics, retreats,
vacations, meals, and other wholesome experiences so that the marriage and family
will be strengthened and maintain the excitement God intended us to have.
MEN'S FELLOWSHIP - Leader Cedric Burns
The Men's Ministry will provide once a month fellowship opportunities
to men of all ages. The Men's Fellowship will engage in prayer and service for
the church and community, offer support for each other, and learn how to wholistically
live out the Christian faith, by engaging in study on financial responsibility,
healthy relationships, spiritual formation, and physical health topics.
NEW MEMBERS/NEW BELIEVERS CLASS - Leader Sister Cheryl Hood
The objective and the goal of the New Members and New Believers Class
is to introduce the foundational teaching of the Christian faith as well as
to indoctrinate those who are new to our church family about the unique mission
and vision of our church, as well as to expose them to the many service opportunities
within their new church.
PUBLICITY MINISTRY - Leader Sister Errica Walker
The Publicity Ministry will be responsible for ensuring the community
and the public is aware of all the awesome opportunities, programs, and ministries
offered by our church family. The publicity ministry will use a wide array of
media, including, but not limited to: fliers, TV, radio (secular and religious
programming), newspaper, internet, and banners.
SHEPHERDING MINISTRY - Leader Deacon Walter Owen
The objective and the goal of the Shepherding Ministry is to immediately
contact new members to offer support and encouragement in the decision to join
their new church. The goal is to retain and help the new members become active
in their church family. A very high percentage of visitors are excited about
a church while they are visiting, but often when they become members they lack
enthusiasm, usually because they don't feel 'apart' of the family and/or they
don't find an invitation to serve and fellowship. The Shepherding Ministry also
serves to seek out inactive members by calling, visiting, and writing to encourage
them to renew their commitment to Christ and to the Local Church.
SILVER WARRIORS - Leader Sister Annie Brown
Silver Warriors is a senior activity group age 59 and above. The group
visit and care for the sick, engage in as many activities, crafts, and trips
as possible. We fellowship together and keep the seniors active while giving
God all the praise and the Glory.
USHERS MINISTRY - Leader Betty Washington
The calling to be an Usher is a calling of great respect and honor. Ushers
help to make the service a success by putting the congregation in the right
frame of mind to receive the message by greeting members and guests with a pleasant
smile and warm welcome.
VAN MINISTRY - Leader Deacon M.C. Williams
Our Van and Transportation Ministry provides a courteous, safe, and reliable
means of transportation to-and-from all of our church related events. We exist
to insure that every member and non-member who desires to attend our church
has a means of transportation.
W.I.N.G.S - Leader Sister deMeriam Crowell
WINGS (Women in God's Service) is a ministry to provide a rich opportunity
for women to be partners with God in building a faith community with strong
interpersonal relationships, a commitment to nurturing the discipleship of God's
people, and dedication to reaching beyond the church doors in outreach and invitation
and to become connected as women in order to support and help each other become
more like Christ.
