Vision: To educate, and empower African-American young women in the Plum Grove Baptist Church community, ages 13 – 17, to become Christian leaders in the twenty-First century. Mission: To provide a comprehensive (spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social) Bible-based curriculum, plus one-to-one and group mentoring experiences for adolescent females to help them chart their course to holistic womanhood. Statement of Purpose: To develop Christian leaders for the twenty-first century by providing an ongoing program of character education, leadership development, and meaningful mentoring relationships for young women between the ages of 13 – 17. The program will assist each member to develop self-esteem, academic excellence, and career goals. All members will be given the unique opportunity to grow strong in spirit, in the knowledge of God and self. Theology: This is a Christian rites of passage program. All activities and experiences are designed to deepen participants’ faith in God through Jesus Christ. All members will be encouraged to give their lives to Jesus Christ, join a church, and become more active Christians.
